I offer podiatry and reflexology treatment within my practice at Alcombe Pharmacy.

 

By choosing a podiatrist redistricted by The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). This means that HCPC monitors and checks that each professional meets strict standards, professional excellence in practice, committed to continue developing their skills and knowledge, abide by code of practice and are insured for practice.

I am also a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR). This demonstrates that I have completed a nationally recognised Diploma in Reflexology and am registered by AoR. I am bound by the AoR Code of Practice and Ethics and follow the AoR Good Practice Policy and hygiene guidance to ensure client safety, insured for medical malpractice /professional indemnity requirements and compliant with GDPR data protection. I ensure the practice is kept up to date by adhering with the AoR Continuing Professional Development requirements. As a professional and highly qualified reflexologist with AOR status, I will provide you with the appropriate bespoke treatment and support after treatment.

Appointments:

  • When making an appointment you agree to a consultation prior to the treatment, for which you will need to disclose all relevant medical, medication and/or lifestyle information.

  • If you present with any condition or symptom which could be a contraindication, I reserve the right to postpone our treatment until medical advice is sought. In return I will apply these high standards to myself. Should I feel unwell, unable to treat or it is inadvisable for me to treat, I will explain the situation to you as soon as possible before your treatment. Should you feel unwell, please contact me to inform me of the situation and then we can make an informed decision about whether you should attend the appointment.

Fees:  

  • The fees are as follows; they are payable in full at the time of treatment.

  • List of charges above in pricing 

  • Payment can be made via - Cash, Bank Transfer, Card and Cheque

  • I reserve the right to choose to use discretion regarding the application of any discounts.

 Cancellation Policy:

  • I have a 24 hour or no-show cancellation policy. As you are aware the business is dependent on the number of clients I can see in the clinic hours. Therefore, if you are unable to make a previously arranged appointment, I request that you provide me with at least 24 hours’ notice on a working day (Monday – Friday). This will allow me the option to re-book the time slot with someone on the waiting list.

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a fair-use fee of 100% of the usual treatment cost. This fee will be required to be settled prior to any future bookings.

There is always an answer phone on my mobile and you can leave a message I try to get back to people within 24 hours.

On Sundays I do not work, therefore if there are any queries or issues, please contact 111 or Miu-however you can always leave me a message and I will get back to you on Monday.

If I am away on holiday, there will be a message stating this, and how long for, on my mobile phone, email and website. Please contact the doctors, 111 or MIU if there are any issues with your feet while I am away.

 Vouchers:

  • I supply the option to buy vouchers for treatments. These may be given as gifts.

  • These treatments can be booked during normal working hours with no restrictions.

  • Where an appointment is booked and missed, the cancellation policy will apply.

  • These treatments are paid for in advance and are fully flexible with 24-hour notice policy.

  • These vouchers are non-refundable.

  • These vouchers are required to be used within a specific time frame of 12 months from the date of purchase.

 

 The use of Face Coverings:

  • I chose to use discretion regarding the wearing of face coverings at this time. However, this may change depending on guidelines from health and safety executives in the future.

 

Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council:

  • I have chosen to be regulated by the CNHC, the choice to be voluntarily regulated and the extra requirements for me are explained on the CNHC website. https://www.cnhc.org.uk/
     

Special Treatment License:

  • As a member of the AoR, working under their high standards, I am exempt from requiring a Special treatments license working within somerset.
     

 Use of background music:

  • The pharmacy has a music license, and I can play any music I choose to in my treatment area.
